Solutions Engineer

Location: Dublin, Ireland

Workshop is looking for a Solutions Engineer to work alongside our Sales and Customer Success teams.

This will be our first European hire, making it an exciting opportunity to help establish Workshop’s presence in the region and play a pivotal role in shaping our international growth.

You’ll get the opportunity to partner with our customers pre and post sale, assisting them with their technical onboarding and support needs. A successful Solutions Engineer at Workshop should have experience working with customers in a technical support capacity and have strong empathy for customers. This role requires an in-depth knowledge of enterprise IT deployments, email providers (Office 365, Google, et al), email security appliances and protocols. Ultimately, the best of the best in this role will help customers find success using our platform by addressing technical needs throughout their journey.

As a Solutions Engineer, you will:

  • Strategize with Sales, Account Management, and Customer Success teams to create ideal solutions and outcomes
  • Support customers requiring technical assistance or education before, throughout and after onboarding
  • Collaborate with product team to diagnose and resolve customer issues
  • Create technical documentation to support customers asynchronously
  • Develop trust and confidence in Workshop’s technical solutions
  • Meet with customers during the onboarding process to educate them about the various steps needed for account setup
  • Support the sales and CS teams with technical-related queries or technical requirement documents

To be successful at this position, you’ll need to:

  • Have experience as a solutions engineer, technical support or similar role
  • Be familiar with common enterprise IT deployments and technologies such as Microsoft ActiveDirectory, Google Workspace, or Okta (or others!)
  • Have experience with email, DNS and email security preferred
  • Be detail-oriented
  • Be proactive and curious in nature
  • Maintain excellent communication – both written and verbal

Bonus points if you:

  • Have experience creating help documentation
