Overview: Career+ Pathways by Skyepack is seeking a dedicated Career Advisor to guide high school students in exploring career options, gaining valuable experiences, and securing high-wage, high-demand careers or educational opportunities. The Career Advisor collaborates with school administration, teachers, and students to effectively implement Career+ programs and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Client Success:
- Onboard and support schools in managing Career+ initiatives.
- Conduct training sessions, regular check-ins, and maintain detailed records.
- Analyze usage metrics and prepare success reports.
- Resolve issues and provide ongoing educational support.
Facilitate Career+ Experiences:
- Promote and support career-related activities like Chats, Workshops, Tours, Rotations, and Bootcamps.
- Collaborate with school staff to ensure meaningful student participation.
Post-Experience Follow-Up:
- Analyze feedback to identify students' interests and next steps.
- Conduct follow-up meetings and referrals to other Career+ Ecosystem members.
Career and Academic Planning:
- Review and recommend course schedules and post-secondary options.
- Advocate for students facing barriers to their career and academic plans.
Support Microcredential Programs:
- Assist in implementing Career+ Microcredentials.
- Work with teachers to enhance the educational experience.
Collaboration with Partners:
- Work closely with teachers, counselors, and employers to support career-connected learning.
- Participate in Career+ Ecosystem activities for optimal resource utilization.
Coordinate Career+ Events:
- Organize and prepare students for Career+ experiences like Go for Growth and HireME!.
- Provide pre- and post-event support to ensure successful participation and outcomes.
Data Management:
- Maintain accurate metrics and notes within Career+.
- Use dashboards to track student progress and support data-driven decision-making.
Professional Development:
- Complete required training programs and participate in ongoing professional learning.
- Leverage data to tailor coaching services and improve student outcomes.
Data-Driven Insights:
- Use data dashboards and feedback to guide career coaching services.
- Ensure data informs impactful coaching and supports school objectives.
Key Performance Metrics
- High client satisfaction and positive Net Promoter Scores.
- Quick resolution of issues.
- Strong student participation and completion rates in Career+ Experiences.
- Effective post-experience follow-up actions and referrals.
- Increased student enrollment in CTE, dual credit, and dual enrollment coursework.
- Positive school counselor feedback on career and academic planning support.
- Successful completion rates and positive feedback for Career+ Microcredentials.
- High stakeholder satisfaction with collaboration and coordination efforts.
- Successful organization and participation in Career+ events like Go for Growth and HireME!.
- Accurate and relevant data management and reporting.
- Completion of required training programs and active participation in professional learning sessions.
- Positive client satisfaction with career coaching services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in career coaching or educational counseling preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with school administration, teachers, and students.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to student success and development.

- Hybrid Working: This position is hybrid, requiring the Career Advisor to work in schools within our 9 county economic region (Benton, Warren, Tippecanoe, White, Carroll, Cass, Clinton, Montgomery, Fountain) approximately 4 out of 5 workdays.
