Position Summary Self Fund Health helps employers lower healthcare costs by combining direct relationships with providers, network contracts, and innovative payment models. This role will manage the financial and operational side of provider arrangements—ensuring fair rates, accurate invoicing, and clear reporting of savings. You’ll work closely with providers to establish rates (both network and cash-based), oversee DPC invoices and payments, and track the real-world savings employers and members experience. This is a hands-on role, balancing provider-facing relationship work with the operational details that make the health plan run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities • Provider Rate Management o Support negotiations and maintenance of both network contracts and direct/cash arrangements. o Keep provider rate schedules and agreements up to date. • Payments & Invoicing o Manage monthly invoices and payments for Direct Primary Care (DPC) practices and other contracted providers. o Ensure provider payments are accurate, timely, and well-documented. o Troubleshoot billing discrepancies and coordinate resolutions. • Savings Analysis & Reporting o Run savings reports to show employer performance vs. benchmarks. o Translate data into actionable insights for internal teams, brokers, and employers. • Operational Execution o Roll up sleeves to handle day-to-day operational issues across provider payments and savings. o Build processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability as we grow.
Qualifications • Background in healthcare operations, finance, revenue cycle, or provider contracting. • Strong analytical skills (comfortable with savings calculations and Excel/Sheets). • Process-oriented and detail-focused—able to keep financial operations tight and accurate. • Strong interpersonal skills to work directly with providers, DPCs, and internal teams. • Comfortable in a growth-stage company environment: adaptable, resourceful, and hands-on.
