We're seeking an experienced Mid to Senior Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems that power our product vision. Leveraging your expertise in Ruby on Rails and modern database technologies, you'll architect scalable solutions, optimize performance, and ensure high availability across our services.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement efficient, high-quality backend code using Ruby on Rails.
- Design and architect scalable systems and databases to support growing user demands.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Optimize system performance and ensure the security and reliability of our backend infrastructure.
- Champion software quality in our Ruby on Rails codebase through robust testing and proactive quality assurance, ensuring reliability and maintainability.
- Mentor junior engineers and uphold best practices and coding standards throughout the development process.
- Comfortable performing full stack development using React for frontend work when required.

What Characteristics and Skills Are We Looking For?

- Holds a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field—or brings equivalent hands-on experience.
- Offers 5+ years of relevant experience in engineering roles.
- Demonstrated proficiency in building applications using Ruby on Rails.
- Possesses a strong understanding of security, and system administration principles.
- Excellent at problem-solving and thrives in collaborative, fast-moving environments.
- Familiar with monitoring and logging tools such as New Relic, Grafana, Prometheus, or similar platforms.
- Communicates effectively and collaborates seamlessly with cross-functional teams.
