At Metafy, we’re working hard to innovate the ways in which expert performers monetize their talent. We're creating the most sophisticated coaching platform in the world, not just in gaming. A globally remote team, we are a founders-led, privately held company funded by Forerunner Ventures, DCM, Seven Seven Six, and other world-class investors.

In this role, you will build highly polished APIs, attention to detail is everything here. Working with your team, product managers, and designers, you will launch new products and build meaningful new features that directly impact how world-class players make a living monetizing their talent.

What we're looking for:

• Develop across the stack with a focus on backend utilizing Hanami (Ruby)
• Build solutions that take into consideration issues of performance, scaling and growth
• Create code that is robust for long term expansion and use
• Collaborate with product, design and the broader engineering team on features and functionality
• Evaluate product launch related use cases from a technical perspective
• Join in system design conversations with partners in product and engineering to build solutions for our services
• Participate in team meetings covering release and build roadmaps and be an active voice in the discussion

Skills & Experience:

• CS degree or related field, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer
• 2+ years of experience utilizing Ruby in a professional environment
• Familiarity with languages commonly utilized to create solutions at scale (Java, Python, Scala, JavaScript, etc)

Bonus:

• Experience with distributed systems and/or microservices
• Familiarity with Kubernetes
• Experience with JavaScript
• Experience with e-commerce and/or payments

Here is the salary and some of our benefits:

$130,000 to $150,000 per year
