Full Stack Software Engineer
Entravia
Entravia is a hiring a Full-Stack Software Engineer!
About Entravia:
Entravia is building the first true marketplace for Professional Employer Organizations (PEOs). We connect brokers, PEO providers, and their clients on a single platform — replacing spreadsheets, email chains, and fragmented portals with a modern, intelligent system. From proposal generation to document management to automated data retrieval, we’re digitizing an industry that’s long overdue for it.
Our stack is modern and moves fast: React 18, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Supabase (Postgres + Edge Functions), OpenAI, Playwright, and an AI-assisted development workflow.
Why This Role Matters
You’ll be the second engineer, partnering directly with our founding engineer. This isn’t a “pick up tickets from a backlog” role — you’ll touch every layer of the product in a given week. One morning you might be wiring up a data sync between HubSpot and Supabase; that afternoon you’re refining the AI pipeline that extracts employee census data from a broker’s PDF; the next day you’re debugging an MFA flow in our browser automation bot.
You’ll have real ownership over architecture decisions, and your fingerprints will be on every major system as we scale.
What You’ll Do
CRM & Data Movement
Build and maintain data pipelines that sync records across Supabase, CRM, and external platforms. Ensure data integrity across the marketplace — broker relationships, PEO proposals, client records, and application state all need to flow reliably between systems.
AI-Powered Document Parsing
Develop and refine OpenAI-powered extraction pipelines for PDFs, employee census files, insurance loss runs, and benefits documents. Build the intelligent document retrieval system that lets brokers and PEO reps find what they need instantly.
API Integrations
Design and consume REST APIs connecting payroll providers, insurance carriers, and internal services. Build Supabase Edge Functions (Deno/TypeScript) as serverless middleware that ties it all together.
Polished User Experience
Build responsive, accessible UIs for brokers, PEO reps, and clients navigating the marketplace. From multi-step application flows to admin dashboards, the front end is just as critical as the back end.
Who You Are
∙ 2–5+ years of professional software development experience.
∙ U.S. Based (Twin Cities, Midwest, or Central Time Zone preferred)
∙ Strong with TypeScript/JavaScript and React.
∙ Experience with Postgres, serverless functions, REST API design, and browser automation tools. Comfortable with SQL and relational data modeling.
∙ You’ve used AI coding assistants and understand how to leverage them effectively — not just accept their output blindly.
∙ Comfortable with Git, CI/CD basics, and working in a fast-moving codebase.
∙ Clear communicator with a bias for action. You ask good questions, ship incrementally, and don’t wait for permission to fix something that’s broken.
Experience That Goes the Extra Mile
∙ Background in HR tech, insurance, payroll, or PEO industries.
∙ Experience building or maintaining data pipelines and system integrations.
∙ Familiarity with CRM systems.
∙ Playwright/Puppeteer experience.
∙ Previous work with Supabase or similar BaaS platforms.
∙ Experience in a small startup where you wore multiple hats.
What We Offer
∙ Competitive salary commensurate with experience (junior through senior).
∙ Ground-floor equity in a company reshaping how PEOs reach the market.
∙ Direct partnership with the founding engineer — your input shapes the product and the architecture.
∙ Modern, AI-augmented development workflow — we invest in tools that make engineers faster.
∙ Flexible working arrangement with a bias toward async collaboration.
∙ The rare chance to build something from scratch in an industry ready for disruption.
