Are you a product designer who understands that a great design system is the foundation of an exceptional user experience? At ActiveCampaign, product is at our core, and we are looking for a designer to help shape the future of our platform's consistency and quality.
As our next Product Designer on the Design System team, you won't just be creating components – you'll be a key contributor to our design system, Camp, directly impacting the entire ActiveCampaign platform. This is an opportunity to collaborate with designers and engineers to maintain, expand, and drive the adoption of a system that ensures a cohesive experience for all our customers.
On a typical day, you might:
- Collaborate with designers and engineers across multiple teams to drive design system adoption, create alignment on new patterns, and identify opportunities for improving existing components.
- Mature our design system by scaling it from individual components to versatile patterns, introducing responsive behavior, and advocating for usability and accessibility best practices.
- Design, document, and ship new components and features for the design system, from detailed audits to final execution.
- Conduct usability studies to validate designs before implementation and to better understand customer needs within the context of the design system.
- Champion a cohesive user experience by maintaining consistency in pattern usage across the platform and effectively communicating design decisions to various stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will bring:
- 3+ years of product design experience, with previous experience designing for and contributing to a design system.
- High proficiency in Figma, particularly in creating and managing easy-to-adopt shared libraries.
- A proven ability to effectively communicate design decisions and collaborate with multiple stakeholders in a dynamic environment.
- Prior experience working in-house on Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) products, especially during a hyper-growth phase.
- A solid understanding of the front-end development process (HTML/CSS/React) and experience creating or supporting A/B testing experiments.
- Deep knowledge of omni-channel marketing or customer experience automation software.
- A passion for the details and a track record as a thought leader in the Design Systems space, demonstrated through published articles or blog posts.
- Experience designing for global markets and implementing localization best practices.
