Senior Sales Operations Analyst, Analytics

This person will spearhead a newly created function working closely with Sales Org Leadership, Business Intelligence (BI) team, and Sales Operations Management to drive business-critical metrics, and translate business questions into an analytics scope. The candidate must have the ability to think strategically and have the analytical expertise to provide data-driven insight for executive-level recommendations and large-scale operations.

What your day could consist of:

  • Design, implement, and manage revenue forecasting, pipeline management, reporting, and analytics by working closely with key stakeholders.
  • Collect, consolidate, and analyze sales data from various sources. Use data analysis techniques to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive sales performance improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, finance, and IT, to ensure alignment and effective communication of sales insights and recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain regular reports and dashboards to track KPIs and provide visibility into sales performance at different levels (individual, team, region, etc.).
  • Drive the designing of effective and impactful reports and visualizations that show business performance, in collaboration with the BI team.
  • Work cross-functionally with other sales operations teammates to scope and manage strategic projects from beginning to completion – including translating business questions into an analytics scope, forming hypotheses, establishing data requirements and sourcing data, conducting analysis, generating and visualizing executive-level insights, and creating/delivering presentations to senior leadership.
  • Provide thought leadership and drive the end-to-end process to analyze large and complex sales performance data to identify patterns, uncover opportunities, and guide strategic recommendations related to how we can optimize revenue
  • Be the thought partner and trusted advisor to Sales and Sales Ops leadership to evaluate the effectiveness of ongoing revenue performance while delivering actionable insights to improve results
  • Provide overall support and departmental coordination for team inquiries, ad-hoc requests, and projects.

What is needed:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with preferred concentration in Business, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Finance or a similar field
  • 5+ years of data analytics experience
  • Proficiency with data access tools (e.g. SQL, Excel, Google Sheets) and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker, Power BI)
  • Expertise in manipulating large data sets, interpreting data trends, and using a multitude of disparate data sources and tools
  • Excellent understanding of business fundamentals and sales operations, including success metrics and quantitative business measures
  • Ability to think strategically, analyze, and interpret market and sales cycle information
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced business environment and display professionalism and confidence in challenging situations
  • Exceptional project management and communication skills, intellectual curiosity, and strong attention to detail
