Position Purpose

Abre is seeking a Data Analyst to join our Client Experience team, playing a pivotal role in delivering tailored, data-driven solutions to school districts. This client-facing role requires strong consulting skills and the ability to manage multiple data projects simultaneously—from initial planning to execution—while ensuring exceptional service.

The ideal candidate has:

• A strong analytics background, particularly in SQL.
• Experience developing data visualizations in BI tools.
• A deep understanding of K-12 education and its data landscape.
• A passion for delivering outstanding service to school leaders.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple client priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Client Collaboration – Engage directly with school district leaders to gather, interpret, and prioritize data requirements, ensuring solutions align with their objectives.
• Project Management – Oversee multiple data projects simultaneously across different school districts, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality insights.
• Data Visualization – Design and implement clear, impactful data visualizations in BI tools (such as Power BI, Looker, or Tableau) to support school district decision-making.
• Data Management – Collect, clean, and preprocess data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Quality Assurance – Identify and resolve data quality issues, proactively improving accuracy and usability.
• Training & Support – Guide clients on using dashboards and visualizations to turn data into actionable insights.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work closely with engineering and client success teams to deliver cohesive, data-driven solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong client-facing consulting experience, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• SQL proficiency, including writing and optimizing queries for data analysis.
• Experience developing data visualizations in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting insights and recommendations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• K-12 Education Expertise – Familiarity with student information systems (SIS), assessment data, attendance, behavior, and other education-related datasets. Understanding of state and federal reporting requirements is a plus.
• Cloud & Data Engineering Knowledge – Experience with cloud-based data platforms and best practices in data storage and retrieval.
• Advanced BI Expertise – Ability to create interactive, customized visualizations and advanced analytics reports tailored to education stakeholders.
